When there is a strike in Paris

What the first Parisian have told us, seems to be true. It is middle of October, the weather became very cold nowadays, the summer is gone and with it also summer holidays, and workers are wondering, if their salary is adequate, if they do not deserve more money and less work.

The subway, RER lines and trains drivers are striking. Fortunately, French people, famous for their strikes and demonstrations, do not know, how to strike properly, so few lines of metro, some of RER lines and some of trains are still running.

On Friday, 33% of all metro in Paris worked, the "trafic fortement pertrube" was anounced on line 6 ... it meant, that at least one train went every 10 minutes.

Even these, not very complete provisions, caused however immense traffic jam in the centre of Paris (as all people liviing in suburbs had to take their car to go to work).

On Saturday and Sunday, trafic is "quasi normal" on all the lines working under RATP.

Strike is starting again on Monday. For those living 15 minutes walk from school, c'est pas grave, cette greve, for the others...there are Velibs, you can try, but God knows, if you are lucky enough to get one.
